Moose Pot Pie

Slow-Cooked and seasoned moose meat is the highlight of this classic fall dish!

Prep Time: 15 Minutes

Cooking Time: 30 Minutes

 

Ingredients:

1 pound moose roast

1 potato, diced

3 cups frozen vegetables

1 pie crust 

1 pie top

2 cups chicken stock

1 cup beef stock

1 package french onion soup mix 

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker over low heat, add moose roast, minced garlic, salt, pepper, soup mix, Non-Typical Cajun spice, beef and chicken broths. Cover and cook for 8-10 hours.

  2. Once cooked, preheat oven to 400’. 

  3. While preheating, add contents of slow cooker into a non-stick pan, over medium heat. Add vegetables and potato to pan, mix together.

  4. Spoon contents into pie crust, add top layer of pie and cut with a knife to allow steam to release. 

  5. Cook for 25 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. Let rest before serving.
